Toute l\u2019Italie est en effervescence.<br \/>\nNiccol\u00f2 Paganini, <i>\u00ab\u00a0Le diable du violon\u00a0\u00bb<\/i>, livre une v\u00e9ritable prouesse de virtuosit\u00e9 romantique \u00e0 la Scala de Milan dirig\u00e9e alors par son ma\u00eetre et ami Alessandro Rolla. La foule est en d\u00e9lire\u00a0!<br \/>\nFranz Liszt na\u00eet l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante\u00a0; il dira plus tard que le jeu tr\u00e8s virtuose de Paganini le formera dans son approche de la musique et de la repr\u00e9sentation sc\u00e9nique.<br \/>\n1816, <i>Il barbiere di Siviglia<\/i> de Gioachino Rossini est cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>ACTE 1<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>Le grand rideau rouge se l\u00e8ve!<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Nous sommes en 1795. Niccol\u00f2 Paganini, 13 ans, fait la connaissance d\u2019Alessandro Rolla chez qui il se rend, \u00e0 Parme, pour prendre des cours de violon. Il d\u00e9chiffre \u00e0 vue un concerto avec brio. Devant les exploits de ce jeune homme, le Maestro lui confie qu\u2019il n\u2019a rien \u00e0 lui apprendre concernant le violon\u00a0et lui propose d\u2019\u00e9tudier le contrepoint avec Gasparo Ghiretti. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">A la m\u00eame \u00e9poque, alors qu\u2019il se met en doigts, Alessandro Rolla s\u2019amuse dans l\u2019extr\u00eame aigu du violon \u00e0 faire rebondir son archet sur les cordes. Entre deux gammes, un doigt de sa main gauche pince la corde de mi. Il imagine qu\u2019on pourrait jouer avec l\u2019archet tout en faisant des pizzicati de la main gauche. Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, il fait part de ses d\u00e9couvertes techniques \u00e0 celui qui est devenu son ami\u00a0: Paganini. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> <span style=\"font-size: large;\">Ils passent plusieurs journ\u00e9es ensemble \u00e0 d\u00e9battre de ces techniques qui deviendront des innovations instrumentales consid\u00e9rables dans l\u2019histoire du violon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>ACTE 2<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">1813. Apr\u00e8s un triomphe \u00e0 la Scala de Milan et trois cordes en moins sur son violon, Paganini, de retour chez lui, se replonge dans la composition des <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>3 Duetti concertanti<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0pour violon et violoncelle ; tout en les \u00e9crivant, il se rem\u00e9more avec gaiet\u00e9 une sc\u00e8ne de la Commedia dell\u2019Arte, en particulier la guitare humoristique de <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>Scaramuccia<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">.<br \/>\nUn air d\u2019op\u00e9ra lui vient alors \u00e0 l\u2019esprit.<br \/>\nIl en retranscrit le th\u00e8me sur son manuscrit !<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Soudainement, un courant d\u2019air, mon pauvre ami Pierrot, \u00e9teint la chandelle&#8230;<br \/>\nS\u2019inspirant du changement brutal de lumi\u00e8re et trouvant la situation burlesque, le Maestro continue dans l\u2019obscurit\u00e9\u00a0; il rajoute alors cinq di\u00e8ses \u00e0 la cl\u00e9\u00a0! Dans la foul\u00e9e, il compose le deuxi\u00e8me et dernier mouvement o\u00f9 exulte toute l\u2019exub\u00e9rance de sa personnalit\u00e9 vertigineuse. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Il d\u00e9cide que ses <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>3 Duetti concertanti<\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> seront fulgurants\u00a0: en deux mouvements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>ACTE 3<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">En 1814, Niccol\u00f2 Paganini au violon et Alessandro Rolla \u00e0 l\u2019alto montent pour la premi\u00e8re fois ensemble sur sc\u00e8ne en duo pour une s\u00e9rie de concerts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Cinq ans plus tard, Paganini, encore tout exalt\u00e9 par la composition de ses 24 Caprices pour violon seul, s\u2019en va d\u00e9couvrir la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition de son manuscrit fra\u00eechement sortie de l\u2019imprimerie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Pendant ce temps, l\u2019id\u00e9e des <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>3 Duetti concertanti <\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">de son ami a chemin\u00e9 dans l\u2019esprit de Rolla qui d\u00e9cide en 1821 d\u2019en composer le m\u00eame nombre.<br \/>\nDe retour de\u00a0la premi\u00e8re repr\u00e9sentation de <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>Matilde di Shabran <\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">de Rossini, Alessandro Rolla commence \u00e0 imaginer la forme g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de ses Duetti. Il y aura deux mouvements rapides dans lesquels se dessineront des guirlandes d\u2019innovations techniques en tous genres. Il arrive chez lui, s\u2019assoit devant son pupitre et \u00e9crit un th\u00e8me vocal directement inspir\u00e9 du bel canto. Il en fera un second mouvement lent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Quelques mois plus tard, les deux amis se retrouvent sur le front de mer \u00e0 G\u00eanes.
